Greetings, Captains! Welcome to the first episode of Aichan's Armament Rundown. This program periodically shares tips on using and coordinating the latest weapons and stigmata.
The first episode will analyze the performances of weapon [Sanguine Gaze] and stigma set [Verne], which are the latest additions to the Hyperion arsenal.
======New Weapons Overview======
v4.8 sees the introduction of [Sanguine Gaze] and its PRI form [Sanguine Gaze: Union], scythes best equipped by Starchasm Nyx and Argent Knight: Artemis. Their actives will pull the target towards the wielder or send the wielder to the target before attacking, and also restore Carmine Gashes for Starchasm Nyx. Their passives will unconditionally increase Ice DMG as well as Total DMG dealt by Ultimate and Burst mode attacks.

5★/300 ATK/12 Crit
Use chain claws to pull the target towards the wielder or send the wielder to the target and perform scythe slashes dealing 100% + 800.0% ATK of Ice DMG. Starchasm Nyx equip bonus: Scythe slashes restore 1 Carmine Gash and can be connected into Sequence 4 of Basic ATK.
Analysis: Use it to quickly narrow the distance between the wielder and the target to cast attacks with high damage multipliers, restore Carmine Gashes, and connect into the more effective 4th and 5th SEQs of Basic ATK. Starchasm Nyx cannot cast this weapon active in Burst mode.
Ice DMG increases by 25.0%. Ultimate and Burst mode attacks deal 30.0% bonus Total DMG.
Analysis: Unconditionally increases Ice DMG as well as Total DMG dealt by Ultimate and Burst mode attacks. These effects apply to Starchasm Nyx and Argent Knight: Artemis.

[Sanguine Gaze: Union]
6★/445 ATK/18 Crit
Use chain claws to pull the target towards the wielder or send the wielder to the target and perform scythe slashes dealing 100% + 900.0% ATK of Ice DMG. Starchasm Nyx equip bonus: Scythe slashes restore 1 Carmine Gash and can be connected into Sequence 4 of Basic ATK. In her Burst mode, the weapon active is changed to slamming the area in front of her and dragging enemies near her dealing 900.0% + 4x40% ATK of Ice DMG. Entering and exiting Burst mode both reset the weapon active's cooldown.
Analysis: Shares the same mechanics with [Nightmarish Beak] outside of Burst mode. In PRI form, its active has bigger multipliers and can be cast by Starchasm Nyx in Burst mode, allowing her to deal massive Ice DMG and pull enemies to her. Entering and exiting Burst mode both reset the weapon active's cooldown.
[Peek into the Abyss]
Ice DMG increases by 30.0%. Ultimate and Burst mode attacks deal 40.0% bonus Total DMG.
Analysis: Shares the same mechanics with [Crimson Eyes] but has bigger multipliers.
[Union in the Dream]
Charged ATKs deal 20.0% bonus Total DMG and reduce Total DMG taken by 15.0% on hit for 3s. Triggering it again resets the duration.
Analysis: Enhances Total DMG dealt by Charged ATK and improves the wielder's survivability.
This weapon will significantly boost Starchasm Nyx's damage output in Burst mode. Its signature hookshot skill has a short CD, can be connected into the more effective 4th and 5th SEQs of Basic ATK, and restores Carmine Gashes. Spam it to enhance Charged ATK and SP recovery in normal mode.
Argent Knight: Artemis
This weapon's passive also goes well with Argent Knight. If you don't have [Skadi Ondurgud] or its PRI form [Skadi of Thrymheim] yet, you're recommended to equip her with [Sanguine Gaze] or its PRI form [Sanguine Gaze: Union] instead.
======New Stigmata Overview======
The [Verne (T, M, B)] set focuses on enhancing Charged ATK and Ice DMG output. Designed for Starchasm Nyx, it will exert full effect once Seele equips all three pieces.

[The Mysterious Island]
Ice DMG increases by 20.0%. Charged ATKs deal 40.0% bonus Total DMG.
Analysis: Unconditionally increases Ice DMG as well as Total DMG dealt by Charged ATK. In Burst mode, Starchasm Nyx can cast Charged ATK successively to gain significant benefits. This piece can also provide decent benefits for Herrscher of Reason and Argent Knight: Artemis.
5★/617 HP/221 DEF/8 Crit
[Five Weeks in a Balloon]
Total DMG increases by 20.0%. On hit, Charged ATKs deal 30.0% bonus Ice DMG for 10s. Can be refreshed.
Analysis: Increases Total DMG unconditionally and increases Ice DMG once Charged ATK lands. Start with Charged ATK to gain full benefits. Refreshing this effect has no CD so use Charged ATK now and then to keep it going.
5★/423 HP/66 ATK/66 DEF/8 Crit
[Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea]
Attack Speed increases by 20.0%. Basic & Charged ATKs deal 50.0% bonus Ice DMG.
Analysis: Ice attackers such as Starchasm Nyx, Herrscher of Reason, and Argent Knight: Artemis, who still use Basic and Charged ATKs after entering Burst mode that alters their attack style through casting Ultimate, benefit the most from this piece's buffs (faster attack speed and higher Ice DMG dealt by Basic and Charged ATKs).
2-pc Bonus: [Fantastic Adventure]
Triggering Ultimate Evasion in Burst mode boosts Total DMG by 30.0% for 12s; can be refreshed. In Burst mode, Charged ATKs boost Ice DMG by 15.0% on hit (CD: 0.3s) until the Burst mode ends; 4 stacks max. Reaching 4 stacks deals 900.0% ATK of Ice DMG to enemies nearby; CD: 20s.
Analysis: When this bonus is in full effect, Starchasm Nyx enjoys a 30% bonus to Total DMG and a 60% bonus to Ice DMG and deals 900.0% ATK of Ice DMG once, which improves her damage output in Burst mode considerably. However, the harsh trigger condition (performing Ultimate Evasion in Burst mode) of the 30% bonus to Total DMG makes it hard for Herrscher of Reason and Argent Knight to get the most out of this bonus. On the other hand, since Herrscher of Reason and Argent Knight both have multi-hit Charged ATK in Burst mode, where Herrscher of Reason's 1st Charged SEQ triggers stacking twice and Argent Knight's 1st Charged SEQ triggers stacking thrice, they will both reach 4 stacks and consequently gain the 60% bonus to Ice DMG after using Charged ATK twice.
3-pc Bonus: [Futuristic Imagination]
Charged ATKs restore 2 bonus SP on hit (CD: 2s). When it's equipped by Seele and she is on the field, all enemies take 20.0% bonus Ice DMG.
Analysis: Increases SP recovery and speeds up the attack cycle. Starchasm Nyx meets the conditions of mainly dealing Ice DMG and being a Seele battlesuit, and therefore is this bonus's perfect match.
Starchasm Nyx can cast Ultimate to recover full Carmine Gashes and then repeatedly use Charged ATK to make the most of Verne's set bonuses. If Haxxor Bunny is also on the team, her Ultimate will help Starchasm Nyx regain Carmine Gashes in Burst mode to maximize the DMG output.
Herrscher of Reason & Argent Knight: Artemis
Although Herrscher of Reason and Argent Knight might not activate the 2-pc bonus that boosts Total DMG by 30.0% when Ultimate Evasion is triggered in Burst mode as easily, the high stats of base Verne pieces make them worth equipping whether together or separately. Moreover, the 3-pc bonus that enables Charged ATK to restore SP will help Argent Knight sustain her attack cycle. The fact that the Verne set is almost on par with the Ana Schariac set in terms of attack bonuses makes the former an ideal substitute for the latter.
