Signing Up & Logging In
I. How do I create a HoYoverse Account?
1. Visit the homepage https://account.hoyoverse.com/ to create a HoYoverse Account.

2. In the game, select "HoYoverse Account > Sign Up", enter your email address and the verification code received through it to finish the process. The verified email address can be used to reset your password and to make your account more secure.

3. In the game, open the HoYoverse Account screen and authorize a third party account to sign up.


II. How can I log in using a HoYoverse Account?
If you have a HoYoverse Account, enter your email address and password on the login screen to log in. If you do not have a HoYoverse Account, you can quickly log in using a third party account.

※ Special note for the Captains who are in the following two situations:
Situation 1: Captains who have linked an old third party account to their HoYoverse Account can't log in anymore using the third party account in the HoYoverse Account system (the account will appear as a new one after login). In this case, please log in using email address and password, and then link a third party account in Personal Information > Account > User Center, after which you can log in to the game using the linked third party account.
 

Situation 2: Captains who have linked a miHoYo Pass to their HoYoverse Account can't log in using the username and password of the miHoYo Pass. Instead, a successful login requires the email address and password of a HoYoverse Account. In this case, please link username in Personal Information > Account > User Center, after which you can log in to the game using username and password.
 

III. Can I log in to a HoYoverse Account using my miHoYo Pass info?
No. HoYoverse Account is a login method completely different from miHoYo Pass, and each has independent username/password. Since miHoYo Pass is no longer supported, please log in using the username/password of your HoYoverse Account.



Account Retrieval & Link
I. After the v5.8 update, for Captains who used miHoYo Pass/Game Center/Sign In with Apple/Google Play and other methods of the old account system of Honkai Impact 3 but haven't linked an HoYoverse Account, can they still log in to the game?
No, they can't. Only HoYoverse Account is supported for login.
 

II. I haven't linked a HoYoverse Account, so how can I retrieve the original account?
Go to the Account Retrieval page from the bottom right of the Honkai Impact 3 login screen to select the login method of your original account, and then follow the guide to link your HoYoverse Account and retrieve the original account.
Please take the following six steps of Account Retrieval to retrieve the account:
Step 1: Tap Account Retrieval on the bottom right of the Honkai Impact 3 login screen to select the login method of your original account.
 

Step 2: Based on the specific login method selected, please log in or give permission on the retrieval page, after which you will obtain the UID of the old account.
※ The photo is an example for miHoYo Pass.
 

Step 3: Confirm whether the UID/nickname/level information of the original account are correct.
 

Step 4: Enter the username and password of the HoYoverse Account which has been registered but hasn't created any characters.
※ You need to create a HoYoverse Account if you don't have one.
 

Step 5: Confirm the UID and HoYoverse Account on the link page before linking the account.
 

Step 6: There will be either of the 3 situations below on the link confirmation page:
※ Situation 1: Your old account and HoYoverse Account haven't linked any other account, there will be a link success reminder, and then you can log in using the linked HoYoverse Account.
※ Situation 2: If your HoYoverse Account has created characters or linked any other old account, there will be a link failure reminder and the actual UID/nickname linked to the HoYoverse Account will be displayed.
※ Situation 3: If your old account has linked any other HoYoverse Account, there will be a link failure reminder and a notification indicating that the Honkai Impact 3 character has linked another HoYoverse Account. In this case, please log in to the game using the linked HoYoverse Account (If you forgot the linked HoYoverse Account, please contact customer service for account retrieval).
 

※ Do not log in to the game using a HoYoverse Account before linking it to your current account, or you will create a new Honkai Impact 3 account that prevents you from linking the original account to your current account.



Account & Security
I. How can I make my HoYoverse Account more secure?
Please visit https://account.hoyoverse.com/ or go to the Account screen in the game and enter Personal Information - Account page, where you tap User Center and switch to Account Security to view your linked information. You can link username, phone number, and email address for easier recovery.


II. What should I do if I forget my HoYoverse Account username?
Please contact our customer support in-game or via email and provide your info as requested.


III. What should I do if I forget my password?
1. Please select Forgot Password on the login screen and enter the verification code received through your email to reset your password.
2. If you cannot reset it on your own, please contact our customer support for help.


IV. How can I unlink a HoYoverse Account from a game account?
You cannot unlink a linked HoYoverse Account in-game, so please link your accounts carefully. If you have questions, please contact our customer support for help.


V. If I log in using an old third-party account that has already linked a HoYoverse Account, will the characters of the original account be retained?
No. If you log in using an old third-party account, a new character will be created. If your old third-party account has already linked a HoYoverse Account, please log in using the HoYoverse Account, and then link a new third-party account in User Center.
*Third-party accounts from the following platforms are supported: Facebook/Game Center/Google Play.


VI. I once logged in using HoYoverse Account via Apple ID or logged in directly using Apple ID, but now login using HoYoverse Account via Apple ID is no longer supported. What should I do?
Due to technical errors, login using HoYoverse Account via Apple ID is not supported in Honkai Impact 3. If you choose this login method, please visit https://account.hoyoverse.com/ to link other applicable login methods (including email and Twitter), and then go back to the game for login.


VII. How can I link my phone number and email address to a HoYoverse Account in-game?
Please visit https://account.hoyoverse.com/ or go to Personal Information - Account in the game, where you tap User Center to link phone number and email address.


VIII. I have several accounts on one server. Can I link them to the same HoYoverse Account?
No. A HoYoverse Account can only be linked to one game account on a specific server.


IX. I have several game accounts on different servers. Can I link them all to the same HoYoverse Account?
Yes. A HoYoverse Account does not share the link status across servers with current accounts. A HoYoverse Account can be linked to different game accounts on different servers.
